  6. Just a quick question, so at work the laptop that they want to issue to me is what you said, i5, 8GB of RAM, 500GB HDD and 1GB of VRAM GPU. Now the thing is, when i'm working on my own personal laptop which is i7, 960M, 8GB of RAM(which I still use becauase I haven't been issued the company laptop yet), I get times where the computer freezes during my work or it slows down massively (I have multiple programs like Photoshop, Premiere and After Effects open at the same time), etc. How would i be able to reason with the company that the laptop they want to issue to me will not perform well?

  11. Hey Roberto, I am looking to buy a budget laptop for video editing. After some research, i'm looking at either a Dell Inspiron 15 5000 series (regular hard drive) or a Acer Aspire E 5 with a SSD drive. Which do you think would be better?

The Acer has better gpu, and is an SSD, but the Dell i'm looking at has much more ram (16gb), as well as more hard drive storage. Any advice?

  12. hey, I recently purchased a Dell Optiplex 980 sff running an i7-870 cpu @2.93 GHz (quad core processor) and 8 GBs of ddr3 ram.
I prefer editing on Sony Vegas 13 and just curious if I would need a better graphics card in order to run that program smoothly. not sure what this desktop comes with until it ships in.
btw the editing I do requires alot of syncing and adding color corrections and what not, but that's mainly what I want it for, gaming not so much.

I would love an updated video for 2018 and would value your input on a graphics card vs an integrated card.

  28. Please make a 2018 version of this video because many things have changed since this video. Nice Content Though;)

  29. Hi Roberto. Good content as usual. I was wondering if you could help me with something. I am in the market to upgrade my system due to the performance issues I am having in premiere pro CC. But I am not sure If I can get by with this machine if I swap out the optical drive and add a second SSD and insert 16gb ram. I currently have a macbook pro mid 2012 non retina. Good performance in FCPX but since swapping to Adobe the system lags and can't play back very well. Any tips? If I can get by with the proposed upgrades I am looking to build a custom PC with the money saved for a future proofing. My laptops specs are 13" macbook pro mid 2012 8gb ram 256gb ssd and a 2.5ghz dual core i5 processor and hd 4000 graphics.
